The end of the spring semester doesn’t have to mean the end of converged communications. On Monday afternoon, I had the opportunity to work for the Florida Times-Union to cover the Georgia High School Association baseball championship in Class A Public, between the Charlton County Indians and the Gordon Lee Trojans. Because Charlton County is just five miles across the Florida-Georgia line and Gordon Lee is located very close to Chattanooga, Tennessee, the distance between the teams is about the longest possible trip within Georgia. But that didn’t stop dozens of fans from making the trip across the state for a rematch of the 2013 title game.
Even though they finished with just two hits, the hometown Indians won the game 2-1, repeating as baseball champions of Georgia. Enjoy some of the sights of the ballpark in this media gallery.
